Now, change the “y” axis to “Actual amount in
dollars” to see how more and more
underprivileged students are being supported
by Padakshep. We have disbursed $ 5215 or
approximately Rs. 2.5 lakhs in these three
years.
Fundraising and planning our budget
We understand that the donors’ hard earned money
should be spent on the very purpose that Padakshep
was created for. Our primary fundraiser happens in
March and April as we start supporting more
underprivileged students every year. This year we
raised $ 3177 and supported eleven students. To create
more impact, we will need your continued
support.
The year 2011 has been very encouraging for Padakshep. Padakshep is three years old now. Over the year, the number of volunteers at Padakshep has increased from five to thirty. We started supporting two underprivileged students in 2009 and now we have twelve students. As we step into 2012, we would like to look back and see how the year went for us.

Work ethics at padakshep
I joined Padakshep thinking its a nice organization which collects money to help poor bright students. I found its much more than that. Padakshep volunteers are a truly dedicated bunch who go way beyond their responsibilities to make a difference in the lives of its beneficiaries.

and members. Now, both of them are studying physics in undergraduate colleges.
Shibsankar and Subhadip are getting ready for their higher secondary exams and they are doing well. Thanks to our dedicated volunteers who kept on encouraging them, throughout the year.
Padakshep is essentially run by student volunteers from across the globe. These students are studying at various universities or colleges and apart from their studies, they love to work for Padakshep. They are the ones who created Padakshep with a passion for helping out the underprivileged students. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of them. Know them individually.

an appeal to you
Padakshep, meaning “a step”, has now become a firm step towards social service. The way Padakshep spreads its helping hands to the needy students, deserves a congratulation. I, Pulak Gandhi, am now able to continue my studies (B.E. at Jadavpur University) only because of Padakshep. The organization helped me during my H.S. studies when I really needed it. I wish earnestly all the success to Padakshep and I will be very happy if I can join this social work in future.
